GONE!

Oh man I am so upset. I just got my computer back from the apple store after 5 lonely days without and I was really looking forward to catching up on some photo editing. I am still in denial ... my hard drive was shot - they couldn't save anything. I lost all, ALL my pictures. Gone just like that. I wanted to scream when they told me, but what could I do. I have to take complete responsibility for this one. You see when I bought this computer, 1.5 years ago I also splurged and bought an external hard drive. You see in essence this large, expensive, beautiful piece of equipment would store all those pictures and other important things that just in case, worse case scenario, I was to lose all of that precious cargo in the rare case that my computer would crash. Well let me just say that this little piece of magic is just now being pulled out of the box.... tears...more tears... and still more.... needless to say I am so sad. Hopefully those of you who are reading this will take my advice and back up everything. Don't let this happen to you.
If it wasn't for the beautiful weather outside I might just cry all day. Thank goodness for spring. Oh I just love it. I also love, love, love spring skiing. On saturday my dad, sisters, sisters boyfriend, brother, and sister in law spent a fabulous 1.5 hours up at Alta enjoying the free-ski time. I hate to say it but other than the hour I spent teaching Savannah to ski earlier last week I hadn't been skiing in 2 years. I was so nervous that my legs would be shaking by the end of the first run and that my brain in it's old age would forget the graceful gliding feeling of telemarking (not telemarketing). It turned out much better than I had expected and I couldn't get enough, if I had it my way I would buy a cabin up little cottonwood canyon and ski everday possible. I know this sounds a little extreme for only skiing all of 2 hours in two years, but I guess that's what happens when you are deprived of something you love for so long. For now I will settle for once a week and thanks to Alta it won't cost a dime. Gotta love it. More about Savannah's ski day later. I've got a sink full of dishes calling my name.

sniff* I'm so sad for you. That is definitely on the worst things that could happen to you list. At least you have all the great pics you put on your blog! Sorry...

Oh Jenny I am just sick! I have been meaning to get an external hard drive for my lap top for months now. That thing is on it's last leg and it holds all my pictures all the way back from high school! You have now convinced me! Ugh Jen, I feel so bad. I will email you all the pics I have of you guys okay? And BTW, that picture of Savannah on top of the blog, ADORABLE. Love it.

I am so sorry! I think besides death losing pictures is the worst. I am so so sorry! I am glad you had so much fun skiing. Are you back from AZ?
