Don't give up

"Many of lives failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
-Thomas Edison

I loved this quote I got from a great movie called "One Week." I have been thinking a lot lately about how short life is - and what I want from life. This movie made me think about that a little bit more. I don't want to spend the rest of my life - however long that may be - wishing and hoping that I would have done this or that. I want to make each day count. I am sure that making it count is different for everyone and that everyone finds fulfillment in different ways. For me this includes being a kind person, loving unconditionally, serving others and finding joy in the moment without worrying about the past or trying to live for the future. It includes being in the moment and definitely a lot of skiing, some fishing, running, traveling, rolling down the river, and many fun days with the fam! So here is to living your dreams, not giving up, and truly enjoying each moment no matter how awful or fabulous it may seem.

It Works!

Today I want to remind the cyber world (is that a total old school term?) of one simple truth. Something I know to be true because I have tried and tested it over and over again. A truth that has changed my life. A truth that can change yours. That truth I speak of is this...
......the power of prayer.

I have known this truth for quite awhile now but something happened the other day that reminded me to pray more - and not to just pray for the usual things but to lay it ALL out on the table - all of it. He knows it anyway. He is just waiting for you to share it with him. He can't help unless you share it.
Prayer works. It works because our Father in Heaven loves us. He knows us. He cares about us.
Try it...

On another note...
My amazing sister-in-law Keri ran the Salt Lake Marathon yesterday. And SHE WON! She was the fasted woman. She ran it in 3:09. CRAZY! AMAZING. What an inspiration. She also has twins and a husband who is training for the Iron man in three weeks. They are SUPER STARS!
